Rosby Guesthouse is more than just a place to lay your head. It’s a destination in itself, and embodies the philosophy of the family and the Rosby way of life, with all the personal touches you’d come to expect from luxury boutique accommodation.

The main house sleeps eight in four sumptuous king rooms with private ensuites a fully stocked kitchen, living and dining spaces. There’s also a private studio adjoining the house which sleeps two.

Sweeping views over the Mudgee valley showcase a picturesque rural setting, with Angus cattle grazing nearby, kangaroos and wombats feeding in neighbouring paddocks, free-range chooks providing their eggs to guests daily, and a vegetable garden teeming with produce.

Hosts, Kay, Gerry and Amber, provide delicious breakfast hampers daily, organise private wine tastings, set a cosy fire in the open fireplace, or pack a picnic of local produce — all with a smile and a story.

The next morning I wake at dawn but I can’t imagine going back to sleep. I’m desperate to be outside, drinking in that view.
