2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
Magnificent purple colour right to the rim, with restrained cabernet fruit, great wood integration and fine, persistent tannins. This wine shows lovely moderate alcohol and sweet blackcurrant fruit on the palate with no portiness – just a lovely, fresh acidity and the promise of elegant aging in an outstanding young wine.

Rosby produces only two red varietals – shiraz and cabernet sauvignon – that have been independently rated as premium wines every vintage since its launch in 2005. The wines are medium to full-bodied and fruit-driven, with characteristic flavours of berry, plum, spice and dark chocolate. Depending on the season, quality and quantity of fruit, Rosby sometimes produces a fortified wine. Rosby has also produced a 2011Rose this year.
Winemaker Tim Stevens has more than 30 years of award-winning winemaking experience, and works with the Rosby fruit from the moment bunches form on the vine to the time it's bottled in the winery. We say it’s our grapes that makes the wine so good; he says it’s technique - either way, Rosby is a world-class drop.
