This two day course examines the use of basic welding techniques in creating metal sculpture and garden artworks with well-known Mudgee sculptor and Sculptures in the Garden exhibitor, Maurice Berry. In this workshop students will learn basic welding skills. Students will be using electric arc welders and angle grinders and will learn techniques like butross weld and fillet weld. At the end of the second day, students will have completed a piece of sculpture using the techniques learnt during this workshop.
Participants Materials List;
Leather workman gloves, safety googles, boots/covered shoes, welding helmet, sensible clothing - full long sleeves and long pants & any scrap metal you wish to work with.
Included in the fee; Welding equipment and materials - including welders & rods, angle grinders, bench grinders. Light lunch each day as well as coffee and tea.
This workshop is designed to suit beginners and experienced welders.
