A favourite of the Rosby Art program, David Newman-White returns to Rosby in 2017 to explore the human form, using a range of pastel based mediums. This two-day weekend workshop will focus on pastel drawing techniques to create a portrait major work.
Participants are required to bring along images of someone they wish to draw - whether it be mother, father, children or a favourite pet.
Suitable for all skill levels and is open to all.
About the tutor;
David Newman-White is a respected artist and tutor who specialises in painting and drawing. He runs painting and drawing workshops throughout NSW and interstate and tutors for the National Trust’s Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum summer drawing program. He is just recently being included as one of the ‘40 Maitres du Pastel’ 2016, (‘40 Masters of Pastel’) in a new book produced by Pratique des Arts, France. He has been employed by TAFE NSW for the past thirty five years teaching Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Fine Art.
